On Tuesday, September 28th at 5:30 PM, the RSO will present a preview event for "A More Perfect Union": a first-of-its-kind symphony commemorating the most iconic speeches of President Barack Obama. The symphony will premiere in-full with the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra on October 2nd. The preview event will feature a conversation moderated by NPR’s Suraya Mohamed in conversation with President Obama’s Director of Speechwriting Cody Keenan, project co-creator and conductor Yuga Cohler, project co-creator and composer Paul Frucht, and baritone Jorell Williams, who will premiere the work with the RSO. They will discuss the process of creating a work that lies at the nexus of music, politics, and culture and show a short preview of the piece.
